Ornament
1
Cut out 10- to 12-inch long pieces of wire. Bend each piece of wire into a heart shape and twist the ends together to keep the shape.
2
Wrap twine around the entire heart until the wire is completely covered. Glue the ends of the twine together to keep it from unraveling.
3
Cut pieces of ribbon that match your wedding color scheme.
4
Print your and your husband's name and the wedding date on thick paper. Cut it out in a heart shape. Punch a hole in the top of the heart.
5
Run the ribbon through the heart ornament and through the hole in the heart paper. Tie the ends of the ribbon to make a loop hanger and the heart paper should hang off of the ribbon.
Charity Card
1
Make a donation to a charity in the name of your wedding guests. Choose an organization that has significance for one or both of you. For example, if the groom's mother is a breast-cancer survivor make a donation to the American Cancer .
2
Type up a short explanation telling guests that in lieu of handing out paperweights or picture frames, you've made a donation to thank them all for attending the wedding. Include a link to the organization's website. Print out enough copies for each guest, then trim around the text so you have small squares of paper.
3
Cut sheets of card stock to be the size of a half-sheet of paper. Glue one explanation on the lower half of each sheet of card stock.
4
Run a piece of twine through a puddle of glue. Place the twine on the top half of the card stock, arranging it into a heart shape. When the glue dries it will be invisible.
5
Attach a small object that relates to your donation, like a magnet with the name of the charity or a cookie decorated to look like the pink ribbon that symbolizes the fight against breast cancer.
Coasters
1
Buy glass coaster-making kits from a craft store or online distributor. These kits should include two pieces of glass for each coaster as well as some edging material to seal the two pieces together.
2
Cut a piece of twine and make a heart shape on top of one piece of glass. Depending on the size of the glass, you may need to cut a shorter or longer piece of twine. Once you've figured out the ideal length, use this piece to measure and cut enough twine for one coaster for each guest.
3
Form a piece of twine into a heart and place it on one piece of glass. Place the other piece of glass on top to form the coaster. If it doesn't look right, remove the top piece and reshape the heart.
4
Follow the kit's directions to finish the coaster and seal the pieces together.
